Is Jawbox Going To Get Back Together On Late Night TV?

Rumor has it that, in celebration of the impending reissue of the DC post-hardcore darlings’ 1994 LP For Your Own Special Sweetheart, the answer to the question posed in this post’s title is “yes.” The remastered edition of Jawbox’s third album—which initially came out on Atlantic Records in The Great Alt Land Rush Of The Post-Nevermind Era—is scheduled to drop on Nov. 23, so if you’re a fan, I’d recommend checking the always-clickworthy Late Night Lineups rundown on a regular basis. (That page has actually been one of the most useful pages on the entire Internet for almost as long as I’ve been online, so, y’know, it’s worthy of a bookmark.) [Washington City Paper / YouTube]

A Lull, Deleted Scenes and Botany Throw Tempo Tantrums at Dan's Silverleaf

  1. Great news. I literally listen to something off this album nearly every single day, and it still sounds as fresh as in ninth grade. (I also listen to Burning Airlines and Channels nearly that often as well…so slept on!)

Looks like they’ve been confirmed for Fallon (who has surprisingly and completely won me over in recent weeks, btw) on Dec. 8. And I would leap at the chance to see Jawbox live. Hope they can get that paper for little Callum Robbins.

  2. The “Savory” video is pure, sweet 120 Minutes.
