Leighton Meester Becomes Lil Wayne’s Umpteenth Duet Partner

November 18th, 2009 // 3 Comments

Following her recent songs with Cobra Starship and Robin Thicke, Leighton Meester spilled to MTV that her next collabo will be with Lil Wayne (of course it will be) on the track “Make It Rain.”

“I sent him a couple of my songs,” says the Gossip Girl actress-turned-major-label-artist. “He’s been diggin’ on them for a while. Then he heard ['Make It Rain'], and he was like, ‘All right, I’m gonna kill it!’”

Catch Leighton yapping about Wayne here:

And for those not keeping track, here’s a list of the myriad of other artists workaholic Weezy’s recorded with (and/or lent rhymes/possible relevance to) over the past year:

did she pre-screen him by asking where he summers?

  2. Best Rocker Alive!

Ever Since Tha Carter III Tons of Artists Have Put Lil Wayne on Their Must Have Collabo List Including Those Outside the Genre of Hip Hop, I Personally Think It’s Amazing He’s Attracting the Attention of Artists Who You’d Think Never Collaborate With Lil Wayne Like Weezer, Meester and Fall Out Boy. And to the Haters, Look Out, Chances are YOUR Favorite Artist Will Recruit Weezy on Their Next Song. And the Chances of That Will Become Even More High Since Wayne’s Stepped Into the Genre of Rock & Roll About a Year Ago.

  3. Outside Your Body

It seems like Amerie is switching it up in her new song called Outside Your Body. Ameriie’s returning to her Korean roots in this single, fusing R&B with Korean pop! This futuristic song sounds great on my MP3 player and I can’t wait for her video to be released!
