Susan Boyle Goes ‘Wild’ On The ‘Today Show’

susan-boyle1Amazon.com sensation Susan Boyle can kiss the days of pre-orders goodbye, as her album I Dreamed A Dream was finally released today. To promote it, the Britain’s Got Talent vixen jetted off to New York—for the first time, apparently—and took to the Today Show stage to perform “I Dreamed A Dream” and “Wild Horses” (video clip after the jump).

Boyle also stood with Meredith Vieira and Matt Lauer as the two morning show hosts chatted with the shy singer.

“My mother was a very lovely person, and very unique and very caring,” the singer explained, when asked about I Dreamed A Dream being dedicated to her mom. “I thought I’d repay that by trying to be something other than what I used to be.”

Currently I Dreamed A Dream is #4 on iTunes and—no surprise here—#1 on Amazon.

Susan is such an interesting character! I think she’s so cute, just look at this video of her and Donny Osmond!

I guess it's all in one's own intrepretation.i thinki Susan sang wild horses with more emotion than anyone could have. It seems she puts her soul and her heart into every piece that she sings...in a shy way though and that's what makes her so beautiful. She has depth..when she sings, one can see how much Susan has suffered and that is what makes her so beautiful...unlike Streisand and most of the others. Susan is pure as is her voice. to me, she is Heavenly.

Amazing, a beautiful singer, but she sings "Wild Horses" with no soul or emotion or any apparent idea of what the song is about. She might as well be singing the phone book.

Eh, let me stamp myself with the "FAIL" marker. It's "You'll See." How I loved that song and video as a young queen. And now, eh.

From the background music, I think La Boyle cover the written-for-Madge "Evita" song "You Must Love Me"? Anyone else up for her tackling "Open Your Heart"? I can't feel anything but admiration for Susan--I want her to do well and she deserves this. Then, I want a sex tape.
