Wait, this is how to defuse controversy? Oh that’s right—they’re not really trying to. Adam Lambert’s council of advisors picked a rather opportune moment to release the vid for his lead single, “For Your Entertainment.” The vid — which initally looked plenty debaucherous — is a lot less provocative than his American Music Awards performance. But there’s certainly no shortage of seductive smirks, eyebrow raises, male-and-female flirting, and tons of snake-handling — no, not that snake handling. Check out the sex-ay video after the jump.

Yes Adam is a brilliant artist perhaps the greatest of all time, he is now more popular than Jesus.
That put the “er” in “derivative.” The choreography’s lifted directly from Paula Abdul’s “Cold Hearted Snake.” Lambert seems to be presenting himself as the secret love child of Adam Ant and Iggy Pop, only with less edge than either.
I’m amazed that Lambert’s ploys for attention are seen as shocking. This territory was covered (better) 20 years ago.

I agree with ComeOnEileen. Every time I see him I think he looks like a washed-up Adam Ant. Nothing shocking about it at all, unless we took a time machine back to 1979 or something.
I listened to sound clips of “For Your Entertainment” yesterday at Amazon and I thought the website was mistakenly playing clips from a P!nk album. Totally derivative and boring.

I was OK with him actually, until I found out he has no restraint as a performer (just in terms of vocals and mannerisms) yet, and he also has a totally ridonkulous perception of himself as an innovator. It’s really off-putting.
Amazing CD. Best pop debut in 20 years. Easy. He does borrow from all the people mentioned in other posts but he is also something completely new.

Adam is boring!?? Are your kidding?? He is the best in the business. His voice is amazing and he looks gorgeous. His CD has songs for everyone. Upbeat like FYE or soft and sweet. Just listen everyone before you go and judje and make rude comment. Go Adam! you rock!
