The Superbowl and Macy's parade has always been lip-synced or playback. Everyone knows that, and doesn't care as long as performers don't lip-sync any other times. I didn't think it was a big deal. Too many weird logistics and sound stuff no one wants to deal with. *shrug* The Broadway numbers were playback too. I thought Katherine MçPhee was very convincing, I even commented to my sister that she was the most believable in her "singing" ?
