Mary J. Blige is just about the prettiest sad person you’ll ever find on an album cover. She looks older and wiser on this minimalist cover, but she sure has aged gracefully. I was just about to say the same thing. Look at the Mary album (the one with All That I Can Say) and you’ll see the scar more prominently displayed.
Longtime reader, first-time commenter. I can’t believe that 1) the site is reviewing an album cover and 2) all you have to say is that she’s aging well?! I thought this site fell off since the changing of the guard, but this MJB “post” confirms it. Yes, I’m skeptical of calling this a “post” because it anyone who read this once understands it was merely a ploy to get on Geffen’s good side. All that was missing was the “promotion” display on top.
@xolondon: We’ve actually never noticed her scar much – chalk it up to good makeup, camera angles or us focusing on Mary’s chic hairstyles and wardrobe instead of the small scar on her face. Also the “tear” in the album’s name may have thrown us off. Anyways, thanks for the heads up, both of you.
