Sade premiered new single “Soldier Of Love” today over on their official site. But damn, they sure know how to get some R&R in between albums. The song, co-produced by Sade and Mike Pela, is off the band’s same-titled sixth studio album—their first one since 2000′s Lovers Rock. The full LP will be released on February 8.
Only six albums in 26 years? It feels like Miley Cyrus has released that many in the past 18 months alone. “Soldier Of Love” contains the trademark dramatic combo of world-weary melodies and sultriness found in Sade jams like “King Of Sorrow, ” “No Ordinary Love” and “By Your Side.” Give the track a spin below.
As a diehard Sade fan, I don’t think I’m being biased when I say this is flippin’ hot song. I love it and can’t wait for the single’s release and the album in February. You’re geniuses!

This song is insane. Totally unexpected. I’ve loved Sade since Diamond Life but I have to go out on a limb and they this is quite possible the best track they have laid down. It’s ferocious in it’s simplicity and brilliance. Like always the lyrics have so much depth and heartfelt emotion and Sade’s vocals are as sultry as ever, but sonically, this song is just out of control. Bravo!
All is right in the world tonight, sade has returned hard, love this track. Sade can sing the back of a cereal box and i would love it, as i love her. As a guitarist myself, the riff was slamming, i agree with Jeff one of the best tracks “SADE” has laid down. Can’t wait for february 8th.
This song is the only original R&B music I’ve heard in quite some time! Sade has ‘lightning in a bottle’! Another multi-platinum album & sold out concert. Can’t wait!
