Lilith Fair 2010 Lineup Includes More Than Pretty Faces

It’s been eleven years since the last Lilith Fair toured the country, and it’s interesting to note who’s still making relevant music over a decade later: past performers Sheryl Crow, Tegan & Sara (they played one date of the last incarnation), Erykah Badu, The Indigo Girls and Lilith Fair founder Sarah McLachlan are all coming back for the return of the ladies-only music fest. (Paula Cole and Meredith Brooks, however, are still MIA.)

The newcomers include top names from across the spectrum: soul songstresses Mary J. Blige and Jill Scott (and pop-soul android Janelle Monae), country firecrackers Miranda Lambert and Sugarland, and pop dolls such as Sarah Bareilles and the ever-so-quotable Ke$ha. (Who wants to be the one to tell her Jack Daniels isn’t a tour sponsor?) Check out the first group of artists on the lineup after the jump.

Artists thus far confirmed for Lilith Fair 2010:

A Fine Frenzy, Ann Atomic, Ash Koley, Brandi Carlile, Butterfly Boucher, Chairlift, Chantal Kreviazuk, Colbie Caillat, Corinne Bailey Rae, Donna Delory, Emmylou Harris, Erykah Badu, Grace Potter and The Nocturnals, Ima, Indigo Girls, Ingrid Michaelson, Janelle Monae, Jennifer Knapp, Jill Hennessy, Jill Scott, Katzenjammer, Ke$ha, Mary J. Blige, Meaghan Smith, Metric, Miranda Lambert, Nneka, Sara Bareilles, Sarah McLachlan, Serena Ryder, Sheryl Crow, Sugarland, Susan Justice, Tara MacLean, Tegan and Sara, Vedera, Vita Chambers, The Submarines, The Weepies, Ximena Sarinana, Zee Avi

Surprisingly missing: Susan Boyle. Hey, why not? Stranger things have happened. There’s certainly bound to be more female artists added to this roster over the next few weeks, so in lieu of Boyle, may we suggest Orianthi and Annie?

This group of ladies will be touring North America beginning next summer.
