If last week’s early album sales projections and Chris Brown’s anti-retail Twitter rant were any indication, it hasn’t been too hard to assess that Brown’s third album Graffiti is set to pretty much stiff on this week’s upcoming Billboard Top 200 Albums chart (officially published Thursday).
Last week Billboard initially reported that Graffiti was on track to sell 95,000 to 110,000 copies. Today Hits Daily Double offered up its tally on the seven-day period’s album sales, and has Chris debuting at #6, with a ho-hum 102,489 copies moved.
Scottish song-vixen Susan Boyle, on the other hand, appears to have easily retained the #1 spot with I Dreamed A Dream for a third week, with another 582,000 in sales.
In fact, Chris Brown even got sucker-punched by the second Glee soundtrack, which HDD shows coming in at #3 with 171,000 units sold. It’s probably a good thing, then, that the embattled pop singer had his Twitter account yanked offline yesterday—otherwise, who knows what type of expletive-riddled tirades and conspiracy theories he’d be pushing off on the virgin-eared masses.

FLOP. His career is over. What a massively stupid move.
This album is also the 22nd worst reviewed of ALL albums on Metacritic!
I don’t know who Chris Brown is, but I certainly know that Susan Boyle’s debut album is hauntingly beautiful – I play it throughout the day. Susan is a lovely lady with a glorious voice, and her rendition of every song is stunning. I have purchased 20 CD’s as Christmas gifts for those I love most, because I feel that this is the very best gift I can give to show how much I care. To anyone who has not yet heard it, you will be captivated. Susan is magnificent!
@Lonnirose: is this a joke?
She is serious and so is Susan!
Not a joke. I know who Chris Brown is, and I know who Susan Boyle is. She’s #1 all over the world. Love her CD and am not surprised she’s beating everyone, for the third week in a row. Breaking records all over the place.
‘Scottish Song Vixen! That she is!
Go Susan!
Lonnirose is certainly not joking! And, er, neither am I.
Susan Boyle is the single, most talented female singer to emerge this year; indeed, arguably this decade, and she is an inspiration to literally millions throughout the world. Her CD sales are simply record-breaking and she thoroughly deserves all the awards that she is receiving, including the triple platinum disc which I was priviliged to see being presented to her live in London recently.
Not only is Susan a true star, but, rare for the world in which we live today, she is also a humble one who has not let her stardom gone to her head and continues to have her feet firmly planted on the ground!
Well done, Susan. I look forward to many more CD’s and awards to come!
you’ve bought 20 identical CDs for your loved ones to show how much you care? (i.e. not enough to take the time to think of presents which might suit their individual personalities?) that’s not very nice
Best headline ever.
And Lonni and Stevie are scary scary people.
I am glad Susan is living in the UK or Chris might try to start a fight over her album sales. Although she might be able to take Chris in a fair fight, unless he sucker punches her. She has a very nice voice and her album is getting all the attention it deserves.
