‘True Poet’ Kanye West Blogs About His New Music

KWNow, folks, just because it’s a new year doesn’t mean Kanye West won’t be lobbing more OOC zingers at the masses via his blog. Why, just this morning the Grammy-nominated rapper posted a new entry—in all caps, naturally— where he compared himself to “true poets” like Maya Angelou, Gill Scott Heron and Nina Simone, while pointing out that “so many rappers get worse as their careers stretch out.” (But not Kanye!)

Oh, yeah—somewhere in there was the info that he’s working on his next set of tunes, with “the same dedication that Kobe has on the court.” Mind you, that sort of got eclipsed by his rant about telling us to “look down upon those who masquerade as truth tellers and objective fact givers.”

Why Kanye and Courtney Love haven’t teamed up and opened a joint Twitter account at this point is beyond us. Sift through Kanye’s full blog post below the jump.

KWblogggFor those who need their Kanye fix sooner rather than later, his VH1 Storytellers live album will be released tomorrow.

Everything Kanye West said was right! Lowery did attempt to force feed him words! I think that Kanye was forced into that interview and into “saying he was sorry”. Look, this is a white man’s world. Kanye was forced into that interview and he was forced to apologize. Anybody with half a brain knows that bush is racist and Kanye West was justified and right for sticking up for the black community. I don’t care who buys his music he is a black man and he is an artist who is proud of his heritage. Kanye has to decide what’s important to him. He may have lost a few album sales but he makes up for it in PERSONAL INTEGRITY! Thank you Kanye West for saying others are too afraid to say. Bravo Kanye for being my personal hero! Keep your head up.
