Yes, yes, Precious is critically acclaimed and all the actors deserve the praise. But let’s face it—Mariah Carey drunkenly accepting the award for Breakthrough Actress Performance at last night’s 2010 Palm Springs International Film Festival was far more entertaining than the movie itself. (Not to mention, slightly less of a downer.)

Nice. Why do stars drink while performing or in functions where they might have to perform? If it is part of a performance art piece then sure. But to show up drunk is so not professional.
