The Ting Tings Perform A Pair Of Familiar Hits On ‘SNL’

TingTingsGrammy nominated British duo The Ting Tings sidled up to Sigourney Weaver as guests on Saturday Night Live this past weekend. The pair have been prepping their sophomore album—which they told NME last week will be titled Kunst—for a summer 2010 release date.

Too bad they didn’t serve up any new songs, then, for their SNL gig. Instead members Jules De Martino and Katie White offered up their tried and true hits, “That’s Not My Name” and “Shut Up And Let Me Go.” (Watch below!)

By the time their second album hits shelves and digital retailers, it will have been over two years since the U.S. release of the Ting Tings’ debut We Started Nothing. Plus, during the first song all that I saw being played was a drum kit, so I must assume that the music being played was taped. I can't stand when musicians do that on “Saturday Night *Live*”.
