Cute Kids of P.S.22 Cover “Empire State of Mind, Part II (Broken Down)”
The cute kids at P.S.22 have done it again. After covering Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Tori Amos and, well, pretty much everyone whose ever had a song on the radio, the Staten Island elementary school students have tackled Alicia Keys’ broken down version of “Empire State of Mind.” They’ve retitled it “Empire State of Mind Pt. XXII,” and they even added an age-appropriate rap part to honor Jay-Z. Consider this your daily dose of adorableness in one three minute video, which you can watch after the jump.
You can learn more about how the kids at P.S.22 evolved from standard school chorus to a nationally beloved and blogged about choir by reading this New York Magazine article, but it’s a lot more fun to just watch them harmonize “Just Dance.”
