Kelis and David Guetta Reteam For House Jam “Scream & Shout”

When we spoke to Grammy nominated DJ and producer David Guetta earlier this week, he mentioned he was working on another song for Kelis’ upcoming album Flesh Tones, but the track wasn’t completed yet. “I didn’t finish it,” he told us with a chuckle. “They’re waiting for me, actually! I feel bad.” If the newly surfaced “Scream & Shout” is the unfinished track Guetta was talking about, then the man is one hell of an incredibly fast worker. Hear the electro jam after the jump.

We’re wild about Kelis’ new electro-heavy direction—it’s an intriguing leap from Kelis Was Here‘s shimmery R&B. (And “Milkshake”? Nah, doesn’t ring a bell anymore.) She recently spoke to Idolator, explaining to us that Flesh Tones is “nothing like the other albums I’ve done,” and that her main goal with this album is to make “people to dance again. I want people to sweat. I want people to enjoy the way things used to be, the debaucherous nights that you try to forget about in the morning. How do you get that back? I think it starts with the music.”

It really starts with signing on knob-twiddler Guetta, who also collaborated with Kelis on the club thumper “Acappella.” The two make a perfect pair, considering Guetta’s main aspiration with his tunes is to “introduce some urban flavor to house music and electro.” Well done, sir.
