Lil’ Wayne is about to do a lil’ time in the slammer. The self-anointed "best rapper alive" pleaded guilty last October to attempted criminal possession of a weapon and ultimately received a one-year prison sentence. While some might view a stint in prison as a dark chapter in their lives, Lil’ Wayne is Mr. Optimistic. He plans on spending his time listening to his iPod (here's hoping his prison cell has an outlet to charge it) and writing more music. “I just say I’m looking forward to it.” Wayne is not the first musician to be arrested on gun charges. In fact, Weezy is in pretty good company, considering that some of the most iconic artists in pop, rap and rock history have at one time or another been considered armed and dangerous.
