Sade continued the U.S. promotional rounds for new album Soldier Of Love by performing the album’s title track on The Late Show With David Letterman last night. And all the hitting of the pavement appears to be paying off for the somber ballad, as it’s now shot up to #37 on the iTunes Top Songs chart. The full LP has been lodged at #1 at the digital store since yesterday.
Dave seemed completely enthralled by “Soldier Of Love,” as he commented to frontwoman Sade Adu, “That was beautiful. Thank you very much. I need a drink!” Hey, you didn’t hear him saying that after Robin Thicke and Nicki Minaj sexed up the joint last week. Watch Sade on Letterman below!
