Good morning, folks! Are you having one of those days where you feel like Oasis’ Noel Gallagher just threw a BRIT Award at your head? Aw, cheer up, the week is halfway over already! Forget your worries and check out today’s mix:
Did You Hear?
:: Star producer Scott Storch’s repossessed mansion was purchased by the maker of Rockstar Energy drink, which is a much less harmful substance than anything Storch has come into contact with in a while. [The Boombox]
:: Can you spot the differences between these two photos from Lady Gaga’s “Telephone” video? [Best Week Ever]
:: The price list from this campus booking agency claims, among other things, that Akon charges $75,000 per show. Not including his special fan-tossing fee, presumably. [Smoking Section]
Music On TV Tonight:
:: Jimmy Kimmel Live (ABC) – Brad Paisley
VIDEO REWIND OF THE DAY: Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day turns 38 today, but the man doesn’t look a day over 22, which is how old he was when the band released their first music video back in 1994. The vid for “Longview,” the first single off their mega-hit album Dookie, introduced the trio of punk-slackers that would go on to sell out arenas around the world, win Grammys, and compose their own Broadway musical. Not too shabby for a rock group who started their career singing about being bored and getting stoned.
Have a great day!
