Lady Gaga Performs The Unreleased “Glitter And Grease” In Manchester
Maybe Lady Gaga was feeling generous toward her UK fans after being awarded with three BRITs on Tuesday. Because the singer decided to bust out the yet-to-be-released tune “Glitter And Grease” for the audience at her Manchester gig last night. Have a listen below!
It was a bold move, considering it was the opening night of the UK leg of the Monster Ball tour, and Gaga slipped the unfamiliar tune in right at the beginning of the show (just after her first number, “Dance In The Dark”).
Oh, well—it doesn’t seem like the horde of screaming Monsters minded “Glitter And Grease” too much.
The unreleased song starts at the 1:38 mark in the above clip, and features the refrain “rub that glitter and grease around.” It even has a Spice Girls “Love Thing”-like rap breakdown toward the end.
Ginger, Scary, Sporty, Posh and Baby also won an award for Most Memorable BRITs Performance Of The Last 30 Years on Tuesday, so maybe Gaga was hoping for a little girl power of her own as she began her trek through Ol’ Blighty.
