Jennifer Lopez’s ‘Love?’ Is No Longer Homeless

Jennifer Lopez has confirmed she is no longer with Sony’s Epic Records, but don’t think you’re getting off that easy. New J-Lo tunes will still likely see the light of day — she insists her seventh studio album, Love?, will be released this summer on a new label. Looks like she won’t be donating her collection of catsuits to the needy quite yet.

Lopez released a statement concerning the split and the fate of her album Love? [via Billboard]:

“I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we’ve had great success. I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label. I’m also happy to say that we’ve found a new home for my album, ‘Love,’ and that it is slated for release in the summer of 2010.”

Deadline Hollywood had reported that Jenny is already in talks to sign with Island Def Jam — so that means promoting all the other possibly DOA singles from Love? is now their problem instead of Sony’s. Let’s hope Lopez (or is it still Lola?) charms the pants off America this weekend when she hosts Saturday Night Live. Maybe Andy Samberg can pen her a “Shy Ronnie” of her own?
