Publicists don't like giving up some of their rights to photos by putting them under a free license, which is required to put it on Wikipedia. You would think that making their clients look good on a Wikipedia biography would overcome whatever qualms publicists have about not being able to sue everybody who uses their image without explicit permission.

, which is a professional publicity shot that was chosen as one as the site's best images and was put on the front page for a day. Nice bit of publicity for Mark Harmon for basically free.I think you hit the nail on the head here. Good point.
It's a shame that it's such an avoidable and easily solved problem.
I really don't think that these pictures were all that horrible. There are only about 3 that aren't too flattering but they're certainly not atrocious.
