Fantasia might not be feeling too feisty after receiving threatening letters and having a bout with inflamed vocal chords (and we can’t blame her), but you’d never know she was feeling less than stellar on her newly surfaced track “Bounce Back.” The upbeat track, which comes from the recording sessions of her upcoming album due later this year, is a fresh dance jam in which ‘Tasia lashes out at her low-life ex. Fantasia – “Bounce Back”

The song is fun, boisterous, full of attitude and makes us want to shake our groove thang—the brass section gives it an additional slice of funk, and the Jamaican-fused shout-out at the beginning gives it some extra swagger. Fantasia’s raspy baby-speak voice sounds a lot like Macy Gray’s, but at least “Bounce Back” doesn’t remind us of a Coca-Cola jingle.

A few other Fantasia songs surfaced this past weekend, including the slow jam “Control Freak” and ballad “One and One,” but we definitely prefer ‘Tasia with an extra bounce in her step. How about you?
