Adam Lambert Is A “Sleepwalker” On ‘Jay Leno’

Adam Lambert Jay Leno SleepwalkerAdam Lambert opted to perform the Ryan Tedder-produced track “Sleepwalker”—possibly his next single?—on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno Tuesday night, rather than his current hit “Whataya Want From Me” (which this week is #28 on the Billboard Hot 100). Gone was the au naturale look that Glambert sported at his recent Belvedere middle school appearance (as well as in the “Whataya” video)—the singer was decked out in full eyeliner, mascara and glitter, with the now-trademark Lambert ‘do standing at full attention.

Watch Adam perform “Sleepwalker” after the jump.

Meanwhile, Leno’s other guests last night were former Alaska governor Sarah Palin and Olympian Shaun White. And while White came out to meet Lambert and the band on stage after the “Sleepwalker” performance, Palin did not.

She’s probably a big fan, though, right?

Wow. Watching Lambert sing so brilliantly only hours after watching all the latest milktoast men wannabees on Idol last night was a real kick in the pants. Oh season 8 how I miss you!

The Leno performance was awesome! Sleepwalker is one of my favorites from his album and he nailed it! After Adam last season, it's going to be hard for anyone to impress me. I looked forward to each and every telecast last year to see Adam perform, this year I can barely watch the show without falling asleep. No one stands out as a star. Adam should have won by a landslide last season. I still think it was fixed!

    Thank You JAY LENO!

ADAM LAMBERT WAS THE DEFINITION OF PERFECTION. That interpretation was a class act.
I could feel and see my hair rising —- Adam is an impeccable artist!

People had another chance to see how SWEET and NICE Adam really is.

Adam was brilliant last night. I liked it better live than on the CD. That's normal for Adam. He's one of those acts that you have to see and hear together. I think “Whataya Want From Me” has been done on so many shows. Adam sings it different every time and I think he just likes to shake things up all the time. Like his outfit. You never know what to expect.

Adam looked gorgeous last night, but I think he looks even more handsome with his hair down. The outfit, and rhinestones around his big baby blue eyes were beautiful. The most exquisite thing about him on 'The Tonight Show', however was his voice. I love that song so much. His vocals were pristine. I think if Adam mentors this season things will improve. He needs to be invited back as soon as possible.

  6. Missed this on T.V. the other night. Wow.

Sleepwalker is my favorite from Adam's CD….I think it is a big potential hit. I love the rocked out version of it that he does! The condensed version of the song was brilliant…but I hope Adam gets to do the full version of it on TV sometime…the guitar solo is fab. I hope this song gets consideration as his next single over IIHY. People who were there said that he got a huge standing ovation after the performance…well deserved!
