Call us crazy, but Avril Lavigne sounded much better while performing “Alice” on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno last night than she does on the actual studio recording of the Alice In Wonderland track. Maybe it was the elaborate Wonderland-esque set she brought to Leno’s stage that enhanced things a bit? Whatever it was, let’s hope for her sake the performance boosts single sales—it’s currently languishing at #79 on iTunes.

Yeah I watched the jay leno show last night. and avril sounded wonderful. And i loved how she had the set all around her. and b/c i thought she was going to be just there and sing one of other songs. But i had a feeling she was going to do ''almost alice'' . I loved it and recorded it too!!! way to go avril. your the best!!!

I personally would have liked to have seen avril with bunny ears on, hopping around while singing and eating a carrot…but this performance was okay, too. And, hey, “Almost Alice” has moved up 7 positions on iTunes since this morning.
