A slimmed-down Ruben Studdard (he lost 100 lbs, y’all!) hit up The Wendy Williams Show yesterday and gave his opinions on, among other things, the current season of American Idol. Particularly, he talked about Paula Abdul’s absence. “They asked, will she survive without American Idol,” Ruben said. “I think American Idol should ask the question: will it survive without Paula Abdul?”

So Ruben’s a full-on vegan now and lost 100 lbs. in two years. Okay, we’ll buy that—and promise not to to believe that the LAP-BAND was somehow involved.

And the Season 2 winner (where is time going?) may seem to criticize AI Season 9 a bit. But to be fair he admits he’s only watched one episode.
