Having Alicia Keys as your unofficial mentor as well as your tour buddy certainly keeps you in good company—Melanie Fiona shared the stage with John Legend and Boys II Men over the weekend at the 5th Annual Jazz in the Gardens music fest in Miami, and the pro she is, Mel made it back to LA in time to perform her hit “It Kills Me” on The Ellen DeGeneres Show this morning. Backstage, Melanie changed the lyrics to her song “Ay Yo” to make them personal to Ellen. Very cute, but what we really love about this clip is the hairdresser busting a move in the background.
