Lady Gaga And Elton John Join Forces For Charitable Reasons

They must have hit it off at the Grammys—Elton John and Lady Gaga will team up again for a rainforest fundraiser at Carnegie Hall on May 13. We fully expect Gaga to embrace the theme and come dressed as a parrot.

The Rainforest Foundation was founded in 1989 by Sting (who is also set to perform) and his wife Trudie Styler, aiming to promote awareness for the need to conserve the plant life (and human life) living in tropical forests. The charitable event, which includes a live auction and a gala dinner, is now in its 21st year, and often boasts an impressive lineup—Billy Joel, Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, and Bruce Springsteen (among many others) have contributed their voices to the swanky event in the past. We’re hoping that instead of sharing a duet on “Speechless” once again, Elton John takes on the Beyoncé role (and her wardrobe) for a riveting live performance of “Telephone.” Don’t tell us you wouldn’t pay top dollar to see that.

Tickets go on sale in early April, and you can find out more information here.
