Kid Cudi Shows You His Days ‘N’ Nights In “Soundtrack 2 My Life” Video

We know Kid Cudi can make some extremely clever and fantastical music videos, so it’s a disappointment that the new vid for “Soundtrack 2 My Life” is  just compiled from live concerts and behind-the-scenes footage. At least the rapper/singer seems like he would be tons of fun to hang with backstage (although we first discovered that in his hotel chillaxin’ “Cudderisback” clip). Check out “Soundtrack 2 My Life” below.

Kid Cudi – “Soundtrack 2 My Life”

There’s tons of fun stuff going on in this clip (directed by Jason Goldwatch, who also helmed “Cudderisback”), including Cudi sharing a goofy moment on stage with Kanye West, and the rapper getting silly while wearing an astronaut suit. (He is the man on the moon, after all.)

The introspective tune from his debut album has Kid pontificating on all his “issues that nobody can see” while “all of these emotions are pourin’ outta me.” Deep stuff, kiddies. So I suppose we shouldn’t be too annoyed by Cudi slapping together a video composed mainly of concert footage, since every artist releases this type of video sooner or later. But we’re not surprised at all that they didn’t include this bit of footage. Maybe for the remix vid?
