Erykah Badu Gives Wendy Williams A “Window Seat”

Erykah Badu was so intent on creating a claustrophobic vibe for “Window Seat”, the excellent single from New Amerykah Pt. 2: Return Of The Ankh, that she recorded it in the shower. But check out the cozy, almost hypnotic rendition of the song she performed live on “The Wendy Williams Show” — she keeps it loose (as you’d well expect from someone who borrowed their hairstyle from Rick James). Watch Erykah head down the runway below.

She did flub the lyrics to the opening verse, but guess what? When you’re funky enough to turn a Junior M.A.F.I.A. sample into a thought-provoking look at love and money, you get a pass. [Via Rap-Up/Urban Music Direct]
