Erykah Badu, who’s found herself in hot water legally over her controversial “Window Seat” video, stepped onto the stage of The Wanda Sykes Show and was treated to a parody of her clip called “Middle Seat.” In the spoof, show host Wanda Sykes attempts to re-enact Badu’s polarizing vid, but takes a tumble in the process. Watch below!

“You know what? In the tradition of performance art I think it’s beautiful,” Badu said to Wanda Sykes about her take on the video. “Because that’s funny as hell.”

In Erykah’s original music video, she’s shot dead after stripping off all her clothes in Dallas’ Dealey Plaza, the same area President John F. Kennedy was assassinated in 1963.

Badu continued: “But in the tradition of performance art, that’s what performance art is about. It’s an expression of an artist who pretty much expresses a point. I think my point was grossly misunderstood all over the United States Of America.”

Here she is performing “Window Seat” live on The Wanda Sykes Show:

This, of course, isn’t the first time Sykes has dazzled a pop singer with one of her spoofs. Back in February, she even got Sade to horse around in a hilarious clip that aired on the show.
