Thank Him Even Later Than Expected—Drake Album Delayed

Drake’s debut album, Thank Me Later, has been delayed til June 15, three weeks later than originally anticipated. Although pushing back an album is a standard practice in the music industry, it still may not be a good sign of things to come. (Can Drizzy use this extra time to take another crack at “Shut It Down”?)

Drake kicked off his Away From Home tour last night at Slippery Rock University in Pennsylvania, and he debuted a new song from his album, the opener “Fireworks.” Watch the live performance of the track after the jump, or bide your time and wait til June 15 to be able to hear a decent recording.

Drake – “Fireworks”

It’s an interesting idea to use the sound of fireworks exploding as your main beat—but we’ll be able to judge better when we can hear what Drizzy is actually saying.
