T.I. Blazes Toward New Album Release With “I’m Back” Video

T.I. mentioned when “I’m Back” dropped last month that the track is “not an official first single” from his first post-prison album, King Uncaged, due in August. Instead, he said, it’s “just something the keep the streets warm.” After watching T.I. return to his native Atlanta and spark a huge inferno in the “I’m Back” video, we’d say it’s fair to say they’ve been warmed. Catch it below:

The clip follows T.I. (aka Tip aka Calvin Harris) as he reacquaints himself with the lavish lifestyle he enjoyed before entering prison to serve a one-year sentence for weapons charges. Rolling through Atlanta in his Ferrari with stacks of cash, Tip hits favored spots like the studio and the pool hall. His verses are airtight, and he delivers them while standing in front of an American flag, or from behind flames — there’s a message in that choice of images, don’t you think?) T.I. – “I’m Back”

T.I.’s King Uncaged was just moved up one week to Aug. 17, a week earlier than his initial plan. Let’s hope they’ve got the fire contained by then.
