Siobhan Magnus Enters The House Of The Rising Sun Once More On ‘Ellen’

April 30th, 2010 // 8 Comments

Like a large majority of American Idol fans, Ellen DeGeneres was shocked at the ousting of Season 9′s Queen Of Scream Siobhan Magnus this week. “There was a pool going on around the office—a lot of people thought you’d be in the final three,” the judge admitted on The Ellen DeGeneres Show today. Poor Shuv herself still seems a bit shell-shocked, even. “I’m feeling okay,” she said with resignation. “Just one step at a time.” And one of those steps, naturally, is to do the TV rounds after being voted off. Catch Siobhan singing the Animals’ “The House Of The Rising Sun” on Ellen today after the jump.

The bright side is that Jennifer Hudson—another fan favorite who was gone from Idol too soon—didn’t even make it as far as Magnus did. So do you think Siobhan has a long career ahead of her after this?

Actually Ellen said the office pool bet she was going to be one of the final three, big difference.

I had Friday off and I watched the Ellen Show to see how Magnus would do in different venue.
It was like I was watching not a “fallen Idol” on the way home, but a star performer Ellen Degeneres had managed to book as a desired guest.
Siobhan Magnus looked gorgeous, radiated warmth and charisma in chat with Ellen then got a standing ovation from the audience with a performance of “House of the Rising Sun”.
    This girl is something special.

I totally agree, she is a complete star. Beautiful voice, beautiful person and the world is a better place with her in it.

Hey Chris, I had heard that Siobhan was going to be on Ellen so I went to the web earlier today to see whent and what time and I was able to see the taped video version of the Siobhan interview before the show was on TV. I assume you can still find it on the web.
You are obviously a follower of Siobhan as am I, as are many, and I like your post. Just listening to a Siobhan interview is great let alone hearing her sing. I predict that she is going to be a hot interview for alot of the top talk shows and media outlets. People seem to be hungry for anything Siobhan. Man, she is going to make it big. And soon!
Something was wrong with the AI voting system this week but I think that if they asked her to come back she would gracefully decline. She is already a winner.
The loser this week was American Idol itself.

I taped the Ellen Show on DVR. I was curious to see how Siobhan was holding up.
What I saw tonight was exceptional. Siobhan is not only holding up fine, but was radiant in her interview. Then as another poster mentioned, flat out sensational in her performance on stage.
I believe Magnus absolutely impressed Degeneres. Any doubts I had about her future went away seeing how she did, in a less hostile venue.
I took time to write the producers of the Ellen Show and say how pleased I was with Magnus being on. Expressing hope they would consider re-booking her not as some person notable only as news for being on, now off Idol, but as a young woman and performer I think Ellen-watchers would love to have back on just for who she is.

Yeah, me too. She has the talent to be in the final three, but I have high hopes for her. Siobhan says she has interest in theater, great idea, she has tremendous stage presence. The music and roles are well defined, I’m excited for her.

I, too, was shocked that Siobhan was voted off Idol. She was my favorite and I had hoped that she would win the contest. However, she is a winner; that performance on “Ellen” just proves what a magnificent singer and entertainer she is. I hope she is booked on numerous shows. Glee would be a great venue for her. I just know she will be a huge star someday soon!
