Adam Lambert Channels Elvis, Michael Jackson And Rihanna On “If I Had You” Cover Art

May 3rd, 2010 // 8 Comments

Take Michael Jackson’s shimmery footwear and limber body language, Elvis Presley’ sparkly glamour and Rihanna’s rooster-imitating hairstyle, and you’ve got Adam Lambert’s cover art for his next single, “If I Had You.” The dance track is one of our favorite songs on For Your Entertainment, so we’re ecstatic that it’s being released as an official single, as is Adam: He tweeted, “Let’s blow this s*** up!” before politely asking that his fans not harrass radio stations  when requesting his music like they did earlier this year. Save the Glambert adoration for our comment pages, folks!

Love the cover art. THe art and photography was done by his good friend Lee Cherry. Lee Cherry of The Zodiac Club fame. It’s a great cover

Great job by Lee Cherry and crew involved. Incredible subject! Hints of Elvis shots from yesteryear. Love the “movement” in the pose. Mostly love how Lambert continues to stay true to himself and fully embrace his Glam side and his feminine side while still completely rocking his masculine side at the same time. Delicious. IIHY a great summer song. Hope the radio listening public falls in love with IIHY as I have and that the song does well.

I love how you can see his nod to influences but it’s not a straight copy (ILU Xtina but cmon) it’s all blended and amped in such a way that is Just So Adam.

    Um, plus, srsly f*cking hott.
