dance competitions are like this, skimpy outfits, and mad dance skills. the people who find this “sexy” need to be locked up. these girls are 7 years old and did a fun little dance routine. Beyonce in the video does the same thing in the video. this was one little routine. quit taking things out of proportion. there 7 year old girls DANCING not “stripping”, if the outfit had been a one piece, this wouldn’t have been discussed. leave them alone. they wont be strippers they will be very talented dancers, as in Broadway, ballroom, lyrical, ya know they will work their way up, but not as stripping. i cant believe that went into your mind. you are sick!

Way to Adult in style (Squat Grinding & Lap Humping) for such young girls, and the costumes are for Exotic dancer’s that are over 18yo NOT 7 yo’s *I wonder “WHO made the Decision” to let them little girls wear those Exotic costumes and then had the SICK BrainStorm to come up with that whole Dance Routine,and then call it A Harmless High Energy Dance Routine,there are people out there with NO MORALS or SHAME to even Think of comming up with this style of a Dancing for 7 year olds..I bet the only reason that the Little girls did not wear high heel shoes is because they could not dance in them.. end of story

Did anybody bother to look past the outfits to see how INCREDIBLE these girls are? I give them so many compliments for being such amazing dancers at their age.

I don’t agree with some of the dance moves, or the outfits, but jeus people, give the kids some credit. They are very very talented dancers.

The little girls are sweet as hell and extremely talented dancers especially since they are so young. HOWEVER, I feel the song choice and some of the moves they were preforming were inappropriate for that age. Whatever happended to letting children be children? The same thing goes for the beauty pagents they have for young girls. Who do you think profits from this type of entertainment? It’s certainly not the little girls! The mothers who are pagent wannabe’s or “retired” from the pagent scene because they’ve gotten old and fat….they are getting an ego boost through their kids. And believe me behind the scenes even further, someone is making fistfuls of money. It’s always about the money.
Now that this video is on Youtube….how many pedifiles do you think are getting off on these little girls? The parents should be ashamed of themselves for exploiting their daughters.
Teach them dance, yes! But use a little common sense while you’re at it. Keep it age appropriate for the sake of the little girls.

Just because some parents would not allow it, does not mean that it is evil. These parents and children did not mean it badly. No matter what you may feel about the dance, do you really believe it deemed all this, a national debate? These are real families being publicly shredded over a children’s dance. This is what is wrong with society. We are stereotyping children who were just performing/acting at a dance competition and trying to do their best in a style of dance that is very popular in this day an age.
I have a feeling that every one of you that posted negative comments about these children have allowed your children to listen and watch these types of songs and dances before at some point. The difference between your children and these children are they spend hours having structured physical activity while other children play violent video games and other inappropriate things without any adult supervision.
If you are an adult out there that took this provocatively then you need your head examined. These children didn’t feel they did anything wrong. They were acting out the part, just like an actress. You wouldn’t call Jennifer Lopez or Julia Roberts inappropriate names because she was doing her job.
There are certain requirements to certain divisions of cheer and dance and these girls along with instructors and parents were following the requirements!!! Now these children feel like they’ve done something wrong and dirty because adults have to make a big deal out of this.
By the way-the one that said they will be 14 and pregnant. That is just crazy!!! I have danced for years and gyrated my way through life and I am a 30 year old married successful educator with two beautiful children I didn’t have until I was 27. It’s the time spent talking and interacting with your children that makes them who they are!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That’s what these parents have tried to give to these girls. You all should be ashamed and if you think I am wrong then you shouldn’t go to a public pool or beach cause you’ll see young girls in a lot less.

I am disgusted Disgusted….not at these young girls but at the negative comments your posting against them. They are 7 year olds trying to perform a dance in the best way that they can. I am not saying I agree with some of the moves but this is not the dancers fault nor their parents…it is the instructor. Some of the moves are too much I agree but that does not mean they will be strippers or whores. Thats Absurd!!!! Nobody is giving them credit for the absolutely AMAZING dancers that they are. I would be proud to call on of them my child. And ps in the world of dance competitions thats what goes on. I too was wearing half tops and short shorts to cotton eye joe many years ago and I was not put on you tube.

Listen everyone who see this video and is talking bad about the girls. First off forget about the outfits for a min. and the dirty dance moves. For dancing these girls are amazing and are very skilled at it. Now for the dirty dancing, the girls could have done without it. For one they are not over 18 and most of the dirty moves they used are/can be a type of sex move. This is wrong for a 7 to 10 year old girl to learn. I am not just talking about the ones in the video, I’m talking about all of them at the competition who were dancing dirty. So don’t go comparing them to the pros who r in their 20′s and up there is a big difference. As for the outfits i think it was a little to revealing. Yes i know they don’t have anything to show off but still that was to much skin. it would have been fine with a one piece or something with more close. I know that the older dancers over 18 are barley wear anything but that doesn’t mean we need little girls walking around in public with hardly anything on. Now i do know that the girls are not responsible for what they did or what they wore but the parents and the instructors could have changed it a little and it wouldn’t have been wrong. Yes many people did blow this out of proportion and i agree that it should have never been put on the internet. However I feel no kids between 5 and 15 should be dirty dancing in public. (YES A DANCE COMPETITION IS BEING IN PUBLIC). And If any of you think what i said was wrong about these girls, think about it this way would you be ok letting your child age 5 to 15 going on stage in front of a few hundred people hardly wearing anything then dancing dirty having some SICK perv out in the word video tape it and do wrong things while watching you child dance in such a way that it looks like they could be having sex on stage or striping for this perv. Like i said the girls can dance but it would have been just as good with other outfits and without the dirty dancing.

i do agree thts its explicit and shouldnt be allowed.. nut i doubt that these little girls drove to the nearest store picked up these clothes and then drove to the compition.. the parents must have agreed to this in some way shape or form for them to get those outfits and do anytype of dance routine its not beyonces fault or lady gaga or anyone else. it shouldnt be done and the parents should have not let their children do that but it did happen and the parents did let it happen.. i find it rediculous that nobody ever decides to place blame on the parents instead they blame the most famous scapegoat they can find

If you think this is salacious do not watch it. Floor gym, freestyle gym and ice-skaters of the same age wear similar costumes; the dance moves are to exhibit their talent not excite the psychologically disturbed. For those that think this is criminal I suggest you go see one of those little bitty Miss beauty contests. Those girls (some as young as 3) are much more provocatively dressed, made up and in their movements, without those movements or costumes being a vehicle to excite a young child’s talent and commitment or showcase their talent.
For those harping about the girls not following the choreo of the video, it is precisely because this competition was to show off their dancing talent that they weren’t faithful to the video. Beyonce did not do staight-leg vertical spin kicks in sync with her dancing partners. (Wow, that’s really hard to do!!)
For those thinking this dance somehow dooms these girls to an illicit and illegal future consider that these girls are busy and involved. They aren’t wandering the neighborhood in danger from strangers, they are rehearsing and involved in structured extra-academic activities. From what I’ve seen at local dance studios at least one of the parents is usually very present for their child through their training and rehearsals. These girls probably have more attention from their parents, are healthier and more active, and have more drive for success than the kids that come home and watch The Simpsons.
What’s happened here is that an out of context window into a competitive sport harnessing the excitement of modern music has been opened and people are reacting instead of learning more about the sport.
You don’t want your daughter to dance like this? But you don’t mind her watching cartoons? She cannot dance in a way that America terms sexual but she can see a simulated murder on TV? In many countries where dance is a part of the culture many of the moves would be considered sexual by by our puritanical society. That does not mean that they are, it only means that is how our society is viewing it.
I’ve seen cheerleaders their age doing much more provocative floor thrusting in a one-armed push-up. I’m sure these girls are well protected, well educated and excited about their sport.
Why are people not up in arms about girls this age walking to school in short-shorts or skin tight pants that reveal their pubic area contours? Those girls are in more danger than these in the insulated world of dance.

Just like the parents said, it’s a dance competition. When they are in their ballerina costumes or their gymnastics costumes its perfectly fine. Those costumes are the same skin tight costumes. For you to think that the dance was provocative, your mind must be provocative. They are little girls dancing to a popular song, that children all over the world know. I bet they don’t dress like that walking down the street. It’s just performing. So give them a break.

How disgusting! How could any parent think this is “cute”? Now I used to dance alot, and occasionally there were some skimpy outfits that were worn, but not by such young girls! And the dance moves… yuck! These are little girls that have a truly AMAZING talent, I am astounded at their skills! But it’s sad that these gifted kids ended up being slandered all over the news instead of admired, thanks to their instructors and parents. Yes, they are some extremely talented girls, but that by no means makes this sort of thing okay. I’m also concerned for the safety of the girls now. I bet sikko’s all over are watching this video for pleasure, and some might even try to find them! :(

But really, if they could take out those dirty dance moves and made the outfits more modest, they could have been famous in a good way! But instead, they just had to be like Beyonce (or even worse than Beyonce) ,and now their all over the news being called little ***** instead of little prodigies.

No one is stereotyping these children–we are disagreeing with the idea of parents allowing and encouraging their 7 year olds to dance like this. And that is because it is obvious that allowing and encouraging this type of conduct is more likely to result in promiscuity and sexual activity at a much earlier age than NOT allowing your children to engage in this activity. And that in turn results in teenage pregnancy, high school drop out, and etc., etc. This is only one reason for the moral decay in our society. Yes, allowing your kids to play violent video games is also not a great idea, but nobody was arguing for violent video games over this dance routine. Do you get it now? Just in case you don’t, let me continue to unravel your illogical arguments, which are frightening given the fact you claim to be coaching cheer and dance to the youth of America….I hope to God that these kids DO get the message they have done something wrong!! Unfortunately, they have already been given the green light to dance around half-naked, shaking their asses and thrusting their hips and chests (which are non-existent, by the way) in a provocative manner. They did not need to strip as they were already almost naked. This is way too much and way to sexual for such young girls. Beyonce is an adult and my children do not watch her videos. These young girls being OK with barely any clothes on in front of so many people and being video taped is concerning. How many of these girls are going to be pregnant teenagers or worse? What were these parents thinking. They are the ones responsible for letting this sad event take place. I hope in the future that they are better protectors of their children.

You are way off base here. I have two daughters and both danced for many years and their father and I always saw the costumes prior to them being ordered and always watched the dance prior to the events. They went to the best dance studio in the area that wins tons of competitions every year and we never saw anything like this. We saw amazing talent not sex shows. I know these girls worked hard on this and it is sad that they could have done an amazing dance but the teacher decided to push the limits and went way to far. I would like to look up the definition of child porn because this sure seems like it. The parents and teachers put them in this situation and I wonder how they are dealing with all this??

Okay . I understand your reasoning in thinking this is “wrong”, but I am a competitive cheerleader and dancer. You probably have never been to a cheerleading or dancing competition. If you don’t have a good routine you have no chance in winning. If you can’t get the judges attention then you’re not going to win. This is usual. And I think if the parents think it’s okay for the child to be doing this then you should get over it. Don’t try to parent other people’s children. I think these young ladies have an extreme amount of talent and if they continue working as hard as they do then they will make it somewhere. I do agree with the fact that the uniforms were a little much, they should cover up more. I also believe that if you’re going to complain about this video being posted then why is it even on this website. Thats part of the problem. If you’re going to make a big deal out if it being on the interenet then why are you leaving comments on just so people can read them. I think people need to leave these girls alone its a dance contest its the one time you get to wear what you want and dance to what ever is in style.. to these girls there just having fun and doing whatever they can to win.These girls are incredable talented and thats whats in style now a days so thats why it looks so horrible to all yall older people but these days thats how everyone dances. No one is questioning or overlooking their talent. But their talent could have been showcased in other ways. There is no need to push children into re-creating what they see adults doing, especially sexual hip gyrations while donning two-piece burlesque outfits. Give me a break.

I think that they are excellent dancers, and as far as I’m concerned, little girls are just as beautiful as full grown women. That doesn’t mean you should have sex with them, but I don’t think looking is a crime.
