We were surprised to learn that Chris Klein, the once-desired heartthrob from the American Pie movies and the dude who got thisclose to marrying Katie Holmes, tried out for the 2008 hit movie musical Mamma Mia! But after watching his leaked audition tape, in which he sings ABBA’s “Lay All Your Love On Me” with crazy eyes, we are not surprised he did not get the part. Brace yourself for the funniest thing you will see all day, or most likely for the rest of your entire life.
This is almost too good to be real, but we’re going to assume it’s not fake, because A) it’s not on Funny or Die, and B) we seriously doubt something this funny could be planned in advance.
Shockingly, Chris didn’t get the part (we’re assuming he was trying out for the role that eventually went to Dominic Cooper). But hey, he can always submit a video to audition for Glee! He can play Cory Monteith’s tone-deaf half-brother who returns back home after an unsuccessful attempt at breaking it in Hollywood.
awww . . . i still think he’s cute. but i kinda miss the days when i knew less about actors. but i can’t deny that this is a guilty pleasure.

and people in musicals are NOT actors? he’s an idiot for auditioning for the role if he can’t sing….i thought pierce brosnan was heinously bad….no wonder he didn’t get cast. BUT I have this weird gut feeling that this was possibly fake? i dunno….
