Two years after the release of Metropolis: The Chase Suite, Janelle Monae returned this week with the latest chapter in the saga of her robotic alter-ego, Cindi Mayweather in The ArchAndroid. Her star has risen far and fast since she first earned recognition for her vocals on Big Boi’s 2005 Got Purp collection.
