After losing his head in the “Shutterbug” video, Big Boi is getting “back on track” with God and offering up “another story to tell” in “General Patton,” a new song from his forthcoming Sir Luscious Left Foot: The Son Of Chico Dusty album. Of course, God will probably hurl a lightning bolt or two at Big Boi after hearing about the trashola “David Blaine” trick at the end of the song. Listen below (warning: NSFW).

It’s certainly no “Shutterbug,” though, and someone should have reminded General Antwon Patton that there’s a certain merit to choruses. We like them. You like them. The general music-buying public likes them.

Oh, well. If anything, maybe “General Patton” will prompt Andre 3000 to come out of hiding more often. Bet he doesn’t try to pull The David Blaine.
