Vocal Adrenaline Stole New Directions’ Thunder On The ‘Glee’ Season Finale

On last night’s Gleeseason finale, Quinn finally had her baby, a whole bunch of people said “I love you,” and Josh Groban and Olivia Newton-John played incredibly dimwitted/bitchy versions of themselves. But most importantly, Journey made a freaking fortunein risiduals from Ryan Murphy choosing three of their hit songs to use during the glee club’s Regionals performance, as the finale’s six-song soundtrack is now #1 on iTunes.

While the Glee-ful thing to do is to post New Directions’ heartfelt Journey medley, we really think Vocal Adrenaline’s epic performance of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody”, with triple threat Jonathan Groff multitasking as the lead singer, dancer and pianist, deserved to win Regionals. (Sorry, but it’s true.) Jump below to watch the rival show choir deliver a showstopping performance as Quinn delivers her long-gestating baby.

Vocal Adrenaline feat. Jonathan Groff – “Bohemian Rhapsody”

Seriously, how great was that? Is Vocal Adrenaline from a performing arts high school? Look at those flips! This performance alone is already better than the cheesy Queen musical We Will Rock You. I don’t think the show intended to make us like the rival show choir so darn much, but we really hope they keep popping back in to stir up some tension in Season 2.
