Kelis is rolling out a slow tease for the “4th Of July (Fireworks)” video. Two days ago she posted stills from the shoot on her official site, and now comes a 30-second preview of the vid ahead of its June 16 premiere. Decked out in a gold dress and long bejeweled earrings, Kelis twirls around in the desert in the official clip for the patriotic dance jam. Check out the preview after the jump.

Flesh Tone—Kelis’ first album in four years—actually arrives two days after July 4.

“It took me four years to get off my old label. I fought and fought,” the singer told us. “I spent so much time and energy getting off the label and getting out of my contract that when I finally did get out, I had not made any provisions or had any thoughts about what I was going to do next… Honestly, the record just came together, and it felt so good that I didn’t want it to get swept under the rug with a smaller label.”

In addition to headlining Los Angeles Gay Pride this weekend (along with Commander Kelly Rowland and En Vogue), Kelis will head out on the road with Robyn for the All Hearts Tour in late July.
