Billboard’s Mashup Mondays is somewhat of a gamble every week—some weeks we get inspired performances like Janelle Monae singing “Smile”, and other weeks we get Iyaz turning Green Day into bad karaoke. Those are the risks when you let artists cover any song they want. This week, Billboard snagged teen phenom and recent inductee of the Glee family Charice for a cover of Shania Twain’s hit “You’re Still The One.” Can the 18-year old Filipina covincingly go country? Listen below.

Charice – “Still The One”

Charice does an impressive job with this cover—her voice is totally in control, and she takes her time performing the story of the song as opposed to focusing on any vocal theatrics. We actually prefer her sound acoustically than on her produced dance-pop tracks. Color us excited for Charice on Glee! Maybe she can duet with Uncle Jesse?
