Converse, trying to still remain the cool and hip shoe brand among hipsters and scensters, rounded up Kid Cudi, Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend and Bethany Cosentino of Best Coast, and challenged them to record a single together for their Three Artists, One Song series. The trio’s outcome is the track “All Summer,” and for a song that came out of an ad campaign, it’s pretty good. Listen below!

It’s a little on-the-nose indie-leaning—basically, the song sounds like it should be playing on repeat at your local Urban Outfitters. But Cudder’s meloncholy rap paired with Bethany’s wistful vocals on the hook create a splendid, carefree summer song.

“When you throw three creative people together it can be tough and nerve-racking to get the artistic gears going,” said Kid Cudi. “But we ended up vibing really well and I was totally pleased with the end result.”

Converse also produced a short film of each artist, detailing what inspires them and how they create their music. Watch Kid Cudi’s here.
