Nicki Minaj’s Debut Album Gets A Release Date

“Yes. It’s time. November 23rd.” Nicki Minaj took to her Twitter (where else?) to give a terse, albeit sufficient announcement of the date her long-awaited debut album will drop. Now all we need now is a title, an album cover, and a leak of all the songs, and we’re all set! Hopefully the album will be strong enough to put Minaj in serious contention for a Best New Artist Grammy, since this year’s race seems like it’s got more than enough talent to fill five spots.

“The album is coming along just spectacular,” Minaj told MTV News, on set of the video for “Your Love”, also known as the song that almost wasn’t. “I been doing a lot of work with Swizz [Beatz], and the stuff that we been coming upon is magical. When people hear the album, they’re going to get to know [birth name] Onika. And no one knows Onika. I really didn’t think I would be this excited about the songs that I’m coming up with. I’m really, really proud.”

Are you excited for Nicki’s debut? Or are you just mad you have to wait four more months to hear it?
