Amazon has compiled its list of the Top 50 Songs Of The Year…So Far, and it would seem the music-loving editors at the online shopping center are in the mood get down—three songs in the Top 10 have either the word “dance” or “dancing” in the title. Also present are big hits, indie jams and one tune that had arguably the most controversial video of the year up to this point.
But what did Amazon miss? Head below to see their list of the best of 2010, and our five picks for songs they forgot to include.
First of all, we give the online company props for including, among others, Robyn’s “Dancing On My Own,” Janelle Monae’s “Tightrope,” Goldfrapp’s “Believer” and Sade’s “Soldier Of Love.” Bonus points for slapping “Elastic Love,” one of the less cringe-worthy tunes off Christina Aguilera’s Bionic, on the list.
Of course, if we had our way we would have included the following in the tally somewhere:
1. “Acapella” – Kelis
2. “All The Lovers” – Kylie Minogue
3. “Find Your Love” – Drake
4. “Commander” – Kelly Rowland
5. “Your Love” – Nicki Minaj
And if the roundup allowed for imported tunes, we’d have also included Brit Awards fave Ellie Goulding’s “Starry Eyed.”
Anyway…

I understand that adults have their own musical taste, but could you maybe post a teenage list, also? this wasn’t incredibly helpful for a fourteen year old girl. and i’m not like a valley girl, or stupid girl, but i’ve heart of 4 sonds on this list… just saying. thanks, though.
i dissagree, Emily. Just because your 14 doesn’t mean you can’t like any of these songs. If your from America, then i completely understand you not liking this list mainly because our culture doesn’t really take in international music very well. We rarely get to hear anything out of the ordinary on US radio. But, still, there is always the option of going and listening to these songs to find out if you fancy them. You might even find your new favorite band. P.S. its also ok the like a band or singer that non of your friends like or have even heard of. Give it a try.
Some GREAT tracks on this list! I can’t think of any that needed to be there but weren’t, however.
Yo where is the Nicki MInaj or the Drake. Both of ‘em r running the hip hop game right now.
I would’ve included Brandon Flowers’ “Crossfire”, but that’s only because I’m a huge fan of the song/The Killers/Brandon. Otherwise, I also agree that a little more hip hop was necessary, seeing the impact Nicki Minaj and Drake have made so far this year.
