Ellie Goulding Follows The Light In Her Video For “The Writer”
For Ellie Goulding’s fourth UK single off debut album Lights, her label has wisely gone with her lush, sweeping ballad “The Writer.” The music video shows the 23-year-old Brit Award-winning singer wandering through a field and scaling the steps of the Happisburgh Lighthouse—which was constructed 220 years ago—in Norfolk, England. “The Writer,” which Goulding co-wrote with Jonny Lattimer, will be officially released as a single overseas on August 9.
As mentioned last week, we consider Ellie’s music to be some of the best released this year so far. Here’s hoping Universal decides to give the album a launch on these shores sometime soon.
