Given news of the changing lineup of American Idol judges that began breaking yesterday, Matt Lauer was probably ecstatic that the Today Show had Season 4 winner Carrie Underwood booked to perform for the program’s summer concert series this morning. That said, when he inevitably questioned her about the shakeup—especially with regards to the supposed ousting of Kara DioGuardi—she gave a perfect non-answer. Watch below.

“I’ve written a few songs with [Kara], a couple of which…are on my new album,” Underwood said. “It’s all interesting. Everybody’s all like, Do you know anything? I’m like, I know what you know.” Personally, we’re just kind of surprised Carrie’s name hasn’t been passed around as a potential replacement judge at this point.
