Christian TV Takes Us Behind The Scenes Of ‘SYTYCD’

The results on last night’s So You Think You Can Dance didn’t exactly come as a shock, but viewers got an unexpected treat: the national TV debut of pop-rock sensation Christian TV, whose single “When She Turns 18” has been trumpeted by no less than Britney Spears. (It’s her “favorite new song of the summer”). But while Christian TV shared his pop magic with SYTYCD fans, he also did something special for us — check below to see a special exclusive look at Christian TV backstage, just moments before taking the stage in front of the SYTYCD‘s millions of viewers. Is this what it looks like when a star is born? See below.

Christian TV brought out the big guns not just with music, but with choreography. The routine was the brainchild of none other than Laurieann “Boom Kack” Gibson. Even if you don’t remember Laurieann from Diddy’s Making The Band, you probably know her best from her most recent work with Lady Gaga (“Just Dance”, “Poker Face”, “LoveGame”, “Paparazzi”, “Bad Romance”, “Telephone”, “Alejandro”).

Here’s the dress rehearsal on the So You Think You Can Dance sound stage:

And just in case you missed it, or want to relive it here’s Christian TV’s big television debut here: We were really digging the Busby Berkeley-inspired silver swim caps on the dancers. Dying to find out more about Christian and “When She Turns 18”, check out a pre-SYTYCD interview here.
