After nabbing nearly a thousand votes (41%) over the past seven days, Enrique Iglesias’ catchy dance-pop jam “I Like It” beat out six other contenders and clinched the Song Of Summer 2010 title in a poll we posted last Friday. Iglesias’ RedOne-produced single, which moved up to #6 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, kept other current radio staples like Nicki Minaj’s  “Your Love” (35%), Katy Perry’s “California Gurls” (15%) and Eminem and Rihanna’s “Love The Way You Lie” (4%) at bay. (And he didn’t even have to kiss any voters to win!) Head below to see how the voting for this summer’s most anthemic pop hit panned out.

As you can see, Nicki Minaj was a close second (in fact, for few days earlier in the week, she was actually winning). Alas, maybe the Harajuku Barbie just hasn’t earned it yet—after all, her debut album isn’t even finished being recorded yet. So not bad for a relative newcomer, compared to the likes of Enrique and Eminem.

In the end, maybe it was just Pitbull’s wink-wink “Tiger Woods x Jesse James = Pitbull all night long” line—which serves to both advertise the Miami rapper’s sexual prowess and acknowledge the Lionel Richie sample used in “I Like It”—that sealed the deal for Enrique. Of course, the singer’s summer-long tease that he might water ski naked off the coast of Miami probably didn’t hurt, either.

Let us know what you think of the results!
