Two weeks after David Archuleta announced the drop date of September 14 (i.e. what’s looking like the busiest release date of the year) for his upcoming album The Other Side Of Down, it’s now been pushed back three weeks. That makes sense, since Archie posted a video blog just last week saying he was still in the process of writing material for the LP. Says David’s website of the album, “It will now be coming on October 5th. Like the last time we dealt with a date change, this one is definitely for the best. David would like to make sure he’s delivering the best possible album and he needs just a little more time to do it.” Can you wait that long, Archie fans?

So, a couple days ago, his blog informed he just finished song writing sessions with producers Steve Diamond, Toby Gad and Lindy Robins. He has written songs with top notch song writers and producers. It probably needs more time to finalize the album. Meanwhile, we will hear SBL on the radio and I would like to hear the second single out of the album although it doesn’t seem possible. Because some writers bragged about their songs so much, so I thougt their songs would be the upcoming singles. Anywayz, when can I see him on TV blasting SBL??
I can hardly wait 3 more weeks but for sure it’s worth it. David deserves our patience!

I was very happy to hear David say that he has more say in this album. I see how busy he is flying back and forth all the time, sleep deprived, working on this album to make it the best he can. So I know this delay is not due to slacking off on the job. I believe it’s worth the wait if it means it’ll be the way David wants it to be. I’m very proud to be his fan, and am sure this album will be great! Wow, a new David Archuleta album! I’m excited!
