‘Glee’ Comic Book Cover Evidently Drawn By Artist Who Has Never Seen ‘Glee’

August 12th, 2010 // 3 Comments

When we heard that Bluewater Comics was going to release a Glee comic book as part of its Fame series, our expectations were (sadly) pretty low, based on the publisher’s past experience with pop sensations and living superheroes. Guess what! The unflattering cover art is even worse than we could have imagined.

What’s wrong with Mr. Shue? And Rachel Berry’s face? Why does Sue Sylvester look serial-killer-angry? And who is the unidentified male in the denim jacket on the left supposed to be? A foreign exchange student we haven’t met yet? Because surely that cannot be Finn. Seriously, Bluewater Comics, post an ad on Craigslist for a new artist already.

  1. Atomic Kommie Comics

    Where’s Tina Cohen-Chang (Jenna Ushkowitz)?

  2. Joe Williams

Apparently, Bluewater trolls DeviantArt looking for artists who can copy photos somwhat well and then pays them with 10 copies of the comic. Not many artists are willing to work for 10 copies of a bad comic book so obviously they don’t exactly get the creme de la creme!

    P.S. Where’s Quinn!?

  3. Romanticide

    oh Blue Water… why I ain’t surprised?
