If Fantasia Barrino is still reeling from the after-effects of her reported attempted suicide or the allegations made against her by her beau’s estranged wife, you would never know it. As MTV notes just seven days after the Season 3 American Idol champ’s overdose, she’s now heading straight to the promo trail for her upcoming album Back To Me.
MTV quotes a new press release issued by the singer’s label J Records, where Fantasia states the following:
“I can’t thank my fans enough for their prayers and support during such a challenging time. It has given me the motivation to get back to work and honor the commitments I made to promote Back To Me. I put a lot of blood, sweat and tears into this album and I pray that everyone enjoys it as much as I do.”
Barrino is also due to make appearances on Good Morning America (August 24, the day of Back To Me‘s release), Lopez Tonight (August 25), 106 & Park (September 8), Live With Regis and Kelly (September 9) and The Wendy Williams Show (September 10). We’re guessing that the respective shows’ hosts will have a whole lot more to talk to Fanny about now than was originally planned.
In the meantime, MJ’s Big Blog has posted “Lucky,” a track that apparently didn’t make the cut for Fantasia’s Back To Me.

One listen to the lyrics gives some inkling as to why maybe this wasn’t the most appropriate song for ‘tasia to be putting out there at this point in time:

Fantasia is still in a position to be sued for alienation of affection by Antwaun Cook’s wife.
If Fantasia has to hand over a sizeable chunk of her assets to Paula Cook, will Antwaun still want her then? Or will he go back to his wife?
How did Fantasia get into this predicament, anyway?
Did Antwaun and his wife set Fantasia up?
Is Antwaun only interested in Fantasia for what he can get?
Or is the whole suicide – divorce – lawsuit scenario just a publicity ploy to promote Fantasia’s new album, which debuts this month?
I loved him on the show his voice is limitless! I can’t wait for an , it would be aeomwse. And I don’t think there’s anyone I’d rather see live than him right now I bet a live show from him would be wow.I think he should that duet he did with Allison on the show their voices sounded so good together. His needs to hurry up already. I think he’s one of the most talented people to come from a reality show he was almost too good for it.But I agree with the first person the sexiest man ever was MJ.
